One-Off: Embody the MomentEver felt "in your head" onstage? Ever wondered how to get the heck out?? Or maybe you're on the hunt for scenes that are more exciting, dynamic, and surprising... If so, this workshop is for you! Over one weekend, we'll dive head first into the remarkable realm of physical improvisation. We'll start by tuning into our bodies, awakening our senses, and activating our kinesthetic response. Turn off the control-brain and discover how it feels to give over to impulse. From there, we'll allow our bodies to devise characters and communicate in ways we never expected. Finally, we'll return to scene work and integrate our new skills and perceptions. Over these three sessions, we will explore Viewpoints, Laban, status work, silent scenes, organic play, and physical discovery. Your body doesn't know how to be anything but in the moment. Find the freedom of letting it be in charge!
Class Dates: 9/17 from 10am-1pm & 2-5pm (THEATER), and 9/18 from 12-3pm (LOFT) Click HERE to secure your spot! |
