Ever wanted to learn what it takes to work out your original ideas and turn them into a polished stand-up set? This class will teach you the basics and structure to develop your ideas into stand-up content, performance styles and technique, finding your voice on stage, and more! The class consists of regularly performing your written material with the goal of refinement through constructive feedback. All classes are 2 hours long and will occur over 4 weeks Students receive free admission to most shows at the theater all session long Missing more than one class means you may be asked to repeat the level Third Coast is a safe, creative, and collaborative environment; any behavior to the contrary will be dealt with immediately Tuition is non-refundable. Stand Up 2 (2023-2)

Build upon your stand-up skills with further development on finding your voice, set creation, performance, and the business side of comedy. During the course you will perform in front of a panel of stand-up comics who will give feedback and offer discussion of helpful tips, tricks, and advice. This class has a showcase. All classes are 2 hours long and will occur over 8 weeks. Students receive free admission to most shows at the theater all session long Missing more than two classes means you may be asked to repeat the level and may not be able to perform in the showcase Third Coast is a safe, creative, and collaborative environment; any behavior to the contrary will be dealt with immediately Mondays @ 7:30-9:30pm starting March 13th (Session 2 runs from March 12 – May 8 with no classes April 9&10) at Third Coast Comedy Club. This is an 8-week class. ***SHOWCASE: Friday, May 26 @ 9 PM***
